AheadFin provides financial calculators and informational content for educational purposes only. We are not licensed financial advisors, fiduciaries, or tax professionals. All outputs are estimates based on user inputs and standard algorithms. Always consult with a certified professional before making significant financial or investment decisions.
By accessing AheadFin (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy & Refund Policy. If you do not agree, you must cease all use of the Service immediately.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use our Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent. This age requirement complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Premium features require a AheadFin PRO subscription. All payments are securely processed by Lemon Squeezy, our official Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current rate. You may cancel at any time, at least 24 hours prior to renewal, through the Customer Portal in your profile settings. After cancellation, you retain PRO access until the end of your current billing period.
Since our Service grants immediate access to premium features and content, all subscriptions are non-refundable. All tools are freely accessible before subscribing, allowing you to evaluate the service before purchase. You may cancel your plan anytime via the Customer Portal, and you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
If your payment method is declined at renewal, we may attempt to process the charge up to three (3) additional times over a 7-day grace period. During this period, your PRO access may be temporarily maintained. If payment cannot be collected after the grace period, your subscription will be cancelled and your account will be downgraded to the Free plan.
You are responsible for ensuring your payment method remains valid and current. AheadFin is not liable for any service interruption resulting from failed payments.
Certain content on AheadFin, including articles and cover images, may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence using third-party AI services. While we review AI-generated content for quality, we do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. All articles are published under the AheadFin Editorial brand and are intended as informational content.
While we prioritize precision in our algorithms, AheadFin does not guarantee that our software is error-free. We shall not be held liable for any miscalculations, outdated regulatory data, or financial losses resulting from the use of our tools.
Our state-specific calculator pages (e.g., paycheck, rent vs. buy, state tax comparisons) use publicly available tax rates and cost-of-living estimates. These figures are approximations and do not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. Always verify with official state tax authorities or a licensed professional before making decisions based on these calculations.
Portfolio values displayed in the Portfolio Tracker are based on real-time market data from third-party providers including Yahoo Finance. These values may be delayed, incomplete, or differ from your brokerage account due to data provider discrepancies, currency conversion approximations, or timing differences. AheadFin is not a brokerage and does not execute trades. Portfolio data is provided for informational tracking purposes only.
AheadFin allows you to save financial data (e.g., income, savings balance, home value, annual expenses) to your Financial Profile. This data is used to auto-fill tool inputs and generate personalized estimates across tools. When you use the Portfolio Tracker, your portfolio's total value automatically syncs as your investment balance across all financial tools. This replaces manual entry for investment-related fields and ensures consistency across calculations.
Proactive Rate Alerts: When market indicators (mortgage rates, federal funds rate, CPI, S&P 500) change significantly, we may send automated email notifications that include estimated impacts based on your profile data. These estimates use simplified assumptions (e.g., 80% loan-to-value for mortgages, a fixed spread for savings yields) and may differ from your actual financial situation.
These notifications are informational estimates only and do not constitute financial, investment, or tax advice. You should not rely solely on these estimates for financial decisions. Actual rates, payments, and impacts depend on your specific lender, account terms, portfolio allocation, and other individual factors. You can disable alerts at any time via your notification settings.
AheadFin displays market indicators, exchange rates, and financial data sourced from third-party providers including the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) system and the European Central Bank (ECB), and Yahoo Finance (stock quotes, dividends, and market indices). This data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
AheadFin does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of any market data or exchange rates displayed. You should not rely on this data for actual trading, currency exchange, or investment transactions. Always verify current rates with your financial institution before executing any transaction.
AheadFin articles and tool pages may contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. We may earn a commission if you make a purchase through these links, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our tool calculations, editorial content, or recommendations.
PRO+ subscribers may export calculation results as CSV or PDF files. Exported data is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. Redistribution, resale, or bulk publishing of exported data is prohibited.
AheadFin offers a Calculation History feature that stores recent inputs locally in your browser using localStorage. This data is not transmitted to our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your calculation history, and AheadFin cannot recover it.
Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other submissions you provide to AheadFin ("Feedback") shall become the property of AheadFin. You grant AheadFin a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such Feedback without restriction, attribution, or compensation.
All proprietary code, UI designs, and editorial content are the exclusive intellectual property of AheadFin. Unauthorized scraping, redistribution, or commercial reuse of our assets is strictly prohibited.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or attempt to exploit the Service. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile Settings. Upon deletion:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AheadFin and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to AheadFin in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. AheadFin expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from AheadFin or through the Service shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AheadFin, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:
We strive to provide uninterrupted access but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We shall not be liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.
AheadFin shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic, war, terrorism, government actions, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, or actions of third-party service providers.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Wilmington, Delaware, or may be conducted remotely at your election. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER: You and AheadFin agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy & Refund Policy and any supplemental terms referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and AheadFin regarding your use of the Service.
No Waiver. The failure of AheadFin to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver shall be effective only if in writing.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. AheadFin may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.
Modifications. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Language. These Terms are drafted in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail.
